Faculty orientation at IIT Delhi

AIA partnered IIT Delhi in conducting a Faculty Orientation programme on Integrated Automation held between 1st to 6th June 2015.

The buzz in the developed world is the Internet of Things. This cannot come about without mastering Industrial Automation concepts and technologies that have to work in shop floor environments. Huge opportunities will open up for Indian engineers to participate in this process.

It is important teachers understand what to teach and how to teach. Our industry stands behind them, says Ravi Agarwal, Director, Pepperl+Fuchs and AIA Campus Connect Team Leader.

Syllabus for a full semester elective course has been designed along with supporting textbook, lecture material, site videos, lab equipment and exercises, under the aegis of AIA. The blended learning modules will shortly be made available to aspiring college faculty.

Automation Industry Association (AIA) is associated as the Knowledge Partner for the prestigious India Manufacturing Show (IMS) 2017.

The IMS 2017 is being held from 30th October, till 1st November 2017 at BIEC, Bangalore. The Show is being organized under the aegis of Laghu Udyog Bharati – Karnataka, servicing SMEs from Bangalore, Hosur and nearby states. SME manufacturers and machine builders are expected to participate in the Show.

AIA is setting up a Smart Manufacturing Zone and is showcasing integration benefits of the latest technologies from selected AIA members supporting the Smart Manufacturing initiative of Government of India - AIA - IIT Delhi. On day II, i.e. October 31, 2017; there is a session in the Conference on Industry 4.0 - SMART Manufacturing with Technology, with a special focus on Automation and Robotics, IIOT and Virtual Reality. This session will be conducted by AIA.

FSM Faculty & Trainees from HAL Bangalore at the IITD Hauz Khas Campus

The CEFC is envisaged as a multi-utility center. It comprises a set of smart machinery that is interconnected to represent a miniature, but feature-rich production system. The facility supports Demonstration, Skilling, Prototyping and Integrated Solutions Facility for Smart Technology Enabled Manufacturing.

The following technologies are included at the CEFC - Cyber-Physical Systems, Collaborative Robots, Industry 4.0 Compliant Sensors, Actuators & Controllers, Rapid Prototyping & Tooling, Augmented Reality, Advance Simulation and Digital Twin, Analytics, Remote Maintenance, Wireless Instrumentation, Industrial Safety and Cyber Security. Many AIA members have come together to contribute new generation technologies and support services. We welcome more companies to contribute
